Practitioner's Diploma in Traditional Foot Reflexology
Â
Our Practitioner's Diploma in Traditional Foot Reflexology is one of Ireland's most comprehensive and practice-focused reflexology training programmes. Affiliated with the National Register of Reflexologists, Ireland (NRRI), this professional Diploma has been carefully designed to develop knowledgeable, skilled, and confident reflexologists who are ready to begin a rewarding professional career.
Delivered over 14 months, followed by two months dedicated to case studies and examination preparation, the programme combines in-depth theoretical knowledge with extensive practical experience. Every element of the course has been designed to help students grow into capable practitioners with the knowledge, confidence, and clinical understanding needed to support clients safely and effectively.
At the Irish School of Reflexology & Wellness, our mission is not simply to teach reflexology, but to inspire and prepare therapists who can make a genuine difference to people's health and wellbeing. We believe that outstanding therapists are created through expert teaching, individual guidance, and extensive hands-on practice, all delivered within a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
A defining feature of our Diploma is its strong emphasis on practical learning. Students receive continuous guidance from experienced tutors while developing the ability to assess clients, deliver personalised treatments, and apply reflexology with precision, confidence, and care. By graduation, they have gained the practical experience, clinical judgement, and professional skills expected of a qualified reflexologist, allowing them to begin treating clients with confidence.
To ensure the highest quality of education, class sizes are limited to a maximum of 20 students. This allows every student to receive individual guidance, ongoing support, and one-to-one mentoring from tutors with many years of clinical and teaching experience in complementary healthcare.
The Diploma is suitable for complete beginners as well as those already working within healthcare or holistic therapies. No previous experience in reflexology is required. Theory and practical training are carefully integrated throughout the programme, enabling students to understand not only how each technique is performed, but also when and why it should be applied.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma, graduates are eligible to apply for full membership with the National Register of Reflexologists, Ireland (NRRI). Membership enables graduates to obtain professional practitioner insurance and issue receipts for reflexology treatments, with the qualification recognised by Ireland's major private health insurers, including Vhi, Laya Healthcare, and Aviva.
Â
Students are expected to complete all modules in order to graduate. Should attendance at a module not be possible, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange attendance on an alternative course date, subject to availability and at the discretion of the School Principal.

The ISRW is affiliated with and accredited by the NRRI. The NRRI is one of the main professional bodies and associations in Ireland. Reflexologists and students must join the NRRI after graduation if they want to practice Reflexology in a professional capacity. NRRI Diplomas are internationally recognized.
ITEC is an examination body that provides international qualifications, specializing in Beauty & Spa Therapy, Hairdressing, Complementary Therapies, Sports & Fitness Training, and Customer Service, with centers worldwide. The main difference between NRRI and ITEC accreditation arises if students want to pursue another ITEC course (such as beauty therapy) after completing their Reflexology Diploma. In that case, the NRRI’s A&P may not be recognised by ITEC because it is not a separate module. However, the NRRI’s A&P is specific to Reflexology, rather than a generic A&P, making it more beneficial for our training.
